Netball Kāpiti is very excited to announce our Representative Teams for 2025.

Thank you to everyone that trialed and Congratulations to all selected players.

Emails have been sent to all trialists, if you have not received yours please let us know as soon as possible.

For those that have been selected your first commitment is a meeting on Sunday to meet your coaches and teams, details of this is included in your email.

Once again Congratultions to you all , we look forward to having you as part of our Representative season and working with you all.

Lewin Neary Year 7 & 8 Intermediate Primary Tournament

Saturday 12th April 2025 

Te Atiawa Courts Centre

Registration and Tournament Information:

1. The 7 v 7 tournament is open to all Year 7 & 8 primary teams.  Boys are welcome to play and Winter competition rules apply.
2. The final draw structure will be dependant on the number of teams entered.
3. Complete a form for each team entered
4. Registrations for this tournament will close on Sunday 6th April.
5. Cost is $80. We are now accepting online payments and this will appear at the bottom of the registration form or payment can be made by direct credit to Netball Kapiti 38-9015-0525564-00 (please use your team name as a reference) 
6. An email will be sent to your nominated contact with further details and request for team member lists
7. Teams are to supply their own correctly inflated size 5 netball, bibs, first aid kit and ice
8. All teams are to supply their own Umpire

We are very excited to announce that we are hosting a Zone Festival Day for primary students Year 3 -6 students.

Central Zone staff will be here helping to run the sessions and we will have some Pulse players running Stations with the help of some of our Performance Programme players.

WHERE: TE ATIAWA NETBALL COURTS

WHEN: WEDNESDAY 19TH MARCH

TIME: 4.00PM - 6.00PM

Come along and give it a go.

There will be free sausages after the session and an opportunity for photos.

Spaces are limited so get in quick to register.

JUNIOR WHISTLER TRAINING

SESSIONS

Netball Kapiti are inviting Year 6 ,7,8, 9 and 10 students to register to become a Netball Kapiti Junior Whistler. Our Junior Whistler Umpire Group offers pathways to progress further in netball umpiring for our Centre.

These training sessions are open to anyone that would like to join our Junior Whistler Program and also those that are currently in the program.

Dates: Sunday March 16th , March 23rd, March 30th and April 6th

Times: 10.00am - 12.00ish. (We try and keep the sessions to 2 hours but they might run a little over depending on the number of participants)

Please be here ready to start at 10am

As the sessions have an active component you must wear sports shoes and comfortable clothing that you can move properly in.

Please ensure you bring a water bottle and a whistle with you.

Netball Kapiti is seeking applications from interested coaches to become involved in coaching our representative teams for 2025.

Positions within our Representative Team Management are a pathway opportunity for all coaches and managers wishing to further their coaching careers and for those wishing to give back to the netball community at Centre level. We provide an exciting chance to work alongside other experienced individuals while learning from each other. Roles are in a volunteer capacity yet provide a fantastic opportunity to further develop yourself.

We are currently seeking Lead & Assistant Coach applications for the following teams:

U14

U16

U18

NETBALL KAPITI COACH PATHWAY - FOR ALL PRIMARY, COLLEGE AND CLUB COACHES

Level One Coach Program

New to Coaching Netball or wanting a bit more confidence - Level One Coach Program will provide new and beginner coaches with the following learning outcomes, and enhance the knowledge of those coaches that just want a bit of guidance.

• Demonstrates a good understanding of the game of netball and all rules associated with the game, including umpire protocols.

• Demonstrates a good understanding of all elements of the NetballSmart Dynamic Warm-up.

• Demonstrates a good understanding of basic netball skills. 

• Demonstrates confident techniques to communicate with their team, using different feedback styles and understands the effect feedback has on the player.

• Identifies coachable moments quickly and adapts activities when needed for teams and individual players.

• Understands the purpose and delivery of team talks.

Participants completing the Level One Coach Program will receive upon completion:

Primary Level Coach - Year 7 & 8 Coach Resource OR;

College Level Coach (Year 9 & 10) - NNZ Year 9 & 10 Coach Resource OR;

College Level Coach (Year 11 to 13) and Club Coach - NNZ Community Coach Resource

SUMMER TWILIGHT COMPETITION 2024

​​​​​​​We had our finals night Thursday 5th December. A great night was had by all and there were some great games played out on court.

Congratulations to all of the teams that made finals and especially to those that won their games.

Thank you to all of our centre umpires that volunteered their time to umpire each week, you guys were amazing and I know those teams that struggled for umpires appreciated you all.

Thank you too all of the teams that registered for twlight it was pleasure having you here. Look out for the details on the February - March season which will be coming out on our facebook page and website in the next few weeks.

What a great little program this was , we hope that everyone that participated had an great time and learnt some skills that will grow a love for netball. It was fantastic seeing you all here every week and hearing the laughter and fun being had by you all.

A massive "Thank You" to Dee Ashby for leading this program and to Kate Agar and Julia Capon for being amazing Star Helpers.

This program woill be running again in Term 1 so keep an eye out on our Facebook page and Website.
