Pools A and B each contain 4 teams, these Pools will be re-assessed after 3 weeks round robbing competition.

Pools D and E, currently each containing 6 teams, teams will play a round robin competition with semi finals and finals.

All games are of 4 x 10 minute quarters, 2 minute breaks between quarters.

It is compulsory for every team to supply an umpire for the full duration of their own game.  This will be closely monitored.  If a team has only 7 players they must play with 6 players as one person must umpire.

Any decision made by Control Room personnel is final.

A reminder of twilight netball rules and conditions previously circulated:

Conditions and Rules:

·        Uniforms are to consist of top and skirt or shorts or tracksuit pants. All players must wear a bib.  If tracksuit pants are worn they must be suitable for netball play, no “street wear” long pants or jeans.

·        All games will be played wet or fine – there will be no twilight league cancellations.

However, both teams may agree to cancel but this must be done by mutual agreement AND communicated to Sandra, Administrator, Coastlands Netball Kapiti, by telephoning 296 9003 by 5pm on the evening of the game.

·        A fine of $10 per team (to be paid before the next game) will be charged for any team defaulting who do not inform their opponents.  Contact must be made with your opponents by 3pm on the day of expected play (a contact list will be provided).  You must make actual contact – answer phone or email is not sufficient.  You also need to advise Sandra, Administrator, Coastlands Kapiti Netball, by telephoning 296 9003 or 021 251 3288.

·        No player may play for more than one team.

·        Each team must supply their own umpire, ball and whistle - every week.

·        Each team may be expected to do Control Room duty at least once during the season (depends on number of teams).

·        No more than 3 males may take the court at the same time, and they must play in different thirds of the court. The different thirds of the court are determined at the start of play i.e. a male can play: C; either one of: WA/GA or GS; and either one of: WD/GD or GK.

·        All other playing rules as per winter league apply.

·        A complete draw will be sent to team contacts.  The draw will also be available on our website www.netballkapiti.org.nz.

Good luck to all teams playing.
